First Day in London

I arrived in London yesterday at 9:30 A.M.  Luckily, my friend Sal, another West Pointer studying who is studying in London on a Rotary Scholarship, had already rented a flat for both of us. So, as soon as, I landed, I went straight to his flat.

After I settled in Sal, who has been in London for several days already, showed me around London for the afternoon. We ate a small restaurant that specializes in making ruebens. These sandwiches were HUGE. I was very impressed. I have nothing but bad things about food in London. That it would be bland and have not taste. Well, my first experience with food in London told me something else entirely. My reuben was big, juicy, and just plain scrumptious.

After we finished eating, we walked around London for a bit to acquaint ourselves with the city. Again, I was impressed. London is a stunning, stylish city. No matter where you walk, there are architectual masterpieces in this city. I can't but dream about Jackson, MS one day sharing this characteristic with London.

I forgot my camera's cord in the states, so I can't show any pictures yet.  I am going to buy a cord from a local shore so I can.
